 Established in 1962 by R.J. Scheffers, the company first opened it's doors as Ornamental Iron of Kalamazoo. In the 1970s, as the business grew and expanded to much more than just ornamental iron, the company name was shortened to OIK Industries.
The company is now in it's second generation of Scheffers ownership and also has a third generation of Scheffers working at OIK.
OIK is a proud member of ABC, AWS, HBAGK, Kalamazoo Chamber of Commerce and the Michigan Chamber of Commerce.
